Arcosa Tank is currently seeking a Senior Mobile Equipment Operator. As a Mobile Equipment Operator you’ll operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles/switch engine, and/or yard vehicles in order to move materials and products between work stations and/or receiving and storage locations.
Location: San Antonio, TX
What you'll do:
Operate 20-30,000 pound lift truck
Operate overhead crane on a production line
Operate scissorlift and/or man lift - Operate trackmobile
Safely operate equipment and machinery involved in the shipping and receiving process
Ensure loading teams operate in compliance with all safety procedures associated with job tasks
Ensure all required equipment is inspected at the start of shift, and at each start-up that occurs during the shift
Recommend measures to improve processes, equipment performance and quality
Serve as a backup for the Mobile Equipment Operator Lead
Follow all safety rules and practices
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
Is a good steward of company resources and displays a sense of urgency in completion of assigned duties and tasks
A minimum of two (2) years of related experience in equipment operation
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid certificate(s) of training and applicable licenses for operation of equipment, as required
The ability to operate a lift truck to move loads up to 15000 pounds
The ability to operate an overhead crane on a production line
The ability to perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, and/or shipping raw materials/finished goods
Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team
Working conditions:
Hourly full- time position
Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
