In this role, a typical day will include:

The Systems Engineer II will develop and manage systems level requirements, develop operational systems concepts, originating design concepts or performing systems level integration and test for highly complex systems. Interacts with systems users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.

•Participates in the developments of test strategies.

•Solves engineering problems in the functional area to which assigned.

•Plans and performs engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering and customer specifications; responsible for major technical/engineering projects of higher complexity and importance than those normally assigned to less experienced engineers; coordinates the activities of engineers assigned to specific engineering projects; and may perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 6+ years of experience in related discipline.

Computer Science; Information systems, Engineering, business or related scientific or technical discipline

Required:

• Candidate should be prepared to perform integration, testing, and performance analysis against new systems and software for DCGS-A systems.


• The candidate will perform integration and testing on software related to geospatial analysis and production, such as ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Desktop and Pro.


•  The candidate should have a good understanding of geospatial technologies, data, and database management systems (SQL, PostgreSQL (PostGIS), and Oracle).
