JOB DESCRIPTION
Product Manager
The Product Manager sets the strategy and defines the roadmap for a product or product line. They analyze the market conditions and competitors to determine why a company should develop a product or enhance a product, when the best time to do it is and what the product should be. Once the planning stages are completed, the product manager develops a production timeline and oversees the creation of the product.
Manage from concept, to design, sample production, testing, forecast, cost, mass production, promotion, support, and finally product end of life.
Responsible for managing and implementing marketing activities through research, strategic planning and implementation.
JOB TASKS:
* Manages a team of product owners
* Supports grooming and prioritization of backlog
* Develop user stories and define achievable acceptance criteria
* Set sprint goals and define sprint backlogs with the engineering teams
* Plan sprint striping and feature release milestones
* Follow progress of work and address detail/information issues during sprints
* Refine our agile methodology based on results and feedback
* Keep track of industry trends and best practices.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor s Degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
* 3-5 years of continuous commercial experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product Management.
* Ability to define testable stories, experience with INVEST and SMART a plus.
* Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
* Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies
* Team spirit and great communication both internally and externally with an ability to negotiate.
* Good organizational skills
* Ability to lead & mentor others with varying levels of skill and expertise
* Agile certifications beneficial (e.g. CSM etc).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
* Real-world experience of implementing and executing SCRUM using modern online tools.
* CSPO Experience
* Ability to define testable stories, experience with INVEST and SMART a plus.
