Responsibilities

NCI: As a Senior Software Developer, you will be a member of the JSP software development team. You will assist the OGC Support Team in performing a wide verity of software development functions. They will range from analyzing customer requests or inquiries on software development specific features or capabilities to gathering software development requirements. You will also develop new project solutions that are requested by the customer and maintaining previously coded customer solutions. You will be required to interact with customers and other support staff, document your activities/development projects and update support tickets that may be assigned to you. All solutions (new or existing) must be maintained in accordance with the Joint Service Provider (JSP) assigned standards and procedures. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
- Possess and apply expertize on multiple complex work assignments
- Ensure all developed/maintained solutions remain compliant with Government STIG's and ACAS scans
- Provide training on developed solutions.
- Maintain, develop and implement innovative responses to accomplishing tasks in a timely fashion
- Assist in the development of plans, schedules, and priorities for assigned development or maintenance projects
- Test all solutions and infrastructure changes in the enterprise test environment
- Ensure all hardware and software changes are reviewed and approved
- Provide System Improvement Recommendations (SIRs) for system operations to ensure reliability, performance, capacity, and optimal resource utilization
- Develop 'as-built' documentation and architecture/network diagrams that support the installation of systems to be repeatable
- Assist in the establishment of technology 'best practices' and provide documentation to support all initiatives.
- Maintain and support configuration management tools as needed
- Develop custom application solutions to support user requirements
- Participate in collaborative efforts to support Apple products and technologies
- Participate in pilot applications, IPRs, working groups, and other efforts
- Maintain outstanding verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate seamlessly with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- Clearance Required: US Department of Defense (DOD) Secret
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
Required Education and Experience:
- Professional Experience: 7 Years of professional IT
- Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent
- Certification: CompTIA Security+
- ITILv3 Foundation minimum certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:
