Summary/Objective:  
Rogers Corporation is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor responsible for maintaining all production equipment, facilities and other real assets to ensure efficient operation, including preventative maintenance, for all local sites within a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This role will coordinate the installation of new equipment and modification of existing equipment through in-house or contract labor. This position is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance department, and department employees. 

Essential Functions: 


  1. Ensures that safe work practices are followed by maintenance staff and safety codes are met for all equipment.  

  2. Ensures safety guards and interlocks are maintained and in working order. 

  3. Advises engineers and operations management on safety and code adherence. 

  4. Schedules and supervises preventative and repair maintenance for the sites and the equipment used by the division. 

  5. Tracks and improves performance metrics, including continuous improvement activities. 

  6. Hires, trains, supervises, and mentors the maintenance staff.  

  7. Promotes communication and positive relations between maintenance team and all other departments.  

  8. Establishes work priorities for the team and communicates maintenance schedules and objectives. 

  9. Assists with projects as needed. 

  10. Maintains an inventory of spare parts and tools, and orders replacements as required.

Required Education and Experience: 


  • High School Diploma in a related maintenance trade and 5 years’ experience in maintenance or related trade 

  • Technical degree and 3 years’ maintenance or related trade field experience 3-5 years’ supervisory experience 


Required Skills and Abilities: 


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 

  • Excellent organizational skills 


  • Computer knowledge/skill to understand/operate a "Computer Maintenance Management System" (CMMS) 


Preferred Education and Experience: 


  • Journeyman, tradesman, technical school graduate or college graduate. 

  • B.S. Engineering 

  • 5-10 years of maintenance experience with 2 years supervisory experience 

  • Trade licenses
