Product Development Training Manager
























The Product Development Training Manager leads the development of all material, which provides in-depth technical training for specific product technologies, implant process and product benefits to in house technical experts as well as the end user/customer. This position is responsible for crafting, usability testing, and implementing the training programs including product simulator in support of new product development efforts for class III implantable medical device systems. The role collaborates with product development, engineering, up-stream marketing, key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical trial, and sales teams to drive continuous process improvements and ensure regulatory acceptance of training programs for new product development programs.






Primary Responsibilities  Candidate Profile


  • Lead the development and implementation of product specific education programs for field and sales supporting technical experts as well as end user/customers of the applicable hospital environment

  • Develop the training program in conjunction with the usability engineering process to support regulatory needs as appropriate

  • Coordinate development and execution of online and in person training programs including procedural simulation environments

  • Support development and maintenance of requirements for the training and certification of field employees, in addition to providing instructional support for the facilitation of education programs

  • Develop and maintain expertise on products, therapies and product benefits versus the competition

  • Maintain and apply expertise in subject matter, instructional design, adult learning and facilitation

  • Initiate the development of a product specific global training partnership with worldwide Training and Education colleagues

  • Provide input to the Marketing Department on marketing materials

  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the manager




Education / Experience Requirements


  • BA/BS in Education, Biology, Health Science, Engineering or Nursing, Usability Engineering

  • 5 years of medical device training and education experience and/or 5 years of field sales experience in a relevant medical device field and/or 5 years of Cath Lab experience

  • Experience with Usability Engineering process

  • Experience in supporting the development and/or execution of Transcatheter Pacing Training Programs for sales and field clinical personnel as well as customer
