Planner - Scheduler at Schaeffler Group in Cheraw, South Carolina

Job Description:

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a qualified Planner - Scheduler for our Cheraw, SC location.

Key duties include but not limited to:

• Responsible for daily fine planning with the Material Requirements Planning.


• Maintain order progress and review back flush issues as well as review demand versus capacity charts.
• Maintain shift models in MRP


• Maintain accurate inventory numbers at all times


• Maintaining appropriate levels of raw material to support production requirements and inventory targets.


• Managing the input of customer orders and interfacing with the customer to understand their needs and to balance those needs with production capability.


• Responsible for communicating delivery schedules to suppliers and for monitoring the supplier's performance to those schedules.


• Evaluate and respond to proposals concerning this system (SAP).


• Maintain steel orders in SAP and forecast sheets to suppliers


• Drive new number set up in SAP and with the suppliers.


• Review Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and keep the MRP side of SAP maintained based on these ECN's to facilitate the introduction of changes while minimizing obsolescence.


• Adjust for amount scrapped and release the material after disposition


• In charge of time management for the hourly employees of the Stamping Department.


• Knows and understands the current specifications of the Quality Policy and Procedures and contributes to the achievement of the quality objectives.

• Strong knowledge of logistics in a stamping environment and/or related experience.
• BS degree preferred but not required.
• General physical mobility and the ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods.
• Technical Skills: SAP is helpful and knowledge of the current quality specifications.
• Interpersonal Skills: Communication (verbal and written).


• Organizational Skills: Multi-tasking, planning, flexibility, and self-motivation.
