Fort Dodge is a city of 26,000 people located just an hour and a half north of Des Moines, three and a half hours south of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and 6 hours west of Chicago. As an Ingredient Specialist I, you'll be responsible for ensuring all ingredients and packaging materials meet Nestlé Purina Quality standards by performing job duties with the highest regard of safety and complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing QMS checks on production floor and completing required paperwork/Redzone checks Including investigation of non-compliance.
  
  


• Update and maintain raw and finish specifications.
  
  


• Interpret data and evaluate trends.
  
  


• Drive First Time Quality (FTQ) and other quality initiatives.
  
  


• Assist and performs PPSR's.
  
  


• Maintain Hold and Incident databases.
  
  


• Update SOP's, QMS, Reference Documents etc.
  
  


• Lead special projects as assigned.
  
  


• Provide quality training to other employees as needed.
  
  


• Enter results into company databases.
  
  


• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices.
  
  


• Supports the NCE (Nestlé Continuous Excellence) process, TPM and the North America Blueprint for Success.
  
  


• Complete lab test as assigned
  
  

*Must be open to working 3rd shift and weekends.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 1+ years working in quality, lab, manufacturing, or related environment
