Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Data Entry Operator 2- NPC

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Support offices within Navy Personnel Command (NPC) PERS-3 by maintaining and providing complete and accurate personnel records and records-related information to authorized users throughout the Navy and other federal agencies.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and maintain electronic records, ensuring the accuracy of data entered and maintained in corporate databases including the Electronic Military Personnel Records System (EMPRS), Personnel Tempo (PERSTEMPO) system, and Navy Department Awards Web Service (NDAWS). Update and maintain filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

- U.S. Citizenship

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- 3 years of experience in Office Management and Clerical Support

- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

- Experience in formatting, and editing correspondence and official documents

- Proficient in the use of basic office equipment (computers, scanners, copiers, printers)

- Experience in proper handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with Department of Navy (DON) policies and procedures.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in Navy Personnel records and awards
