What you will do

Johnson Controls, Inc. Fire Protection Solutions & Services is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Inside Sales function with primary location in Aurora, Colorado. This role reports to the Vice President of Owner Sales for Fire Protection Solutions & Services.

Inside sales at JCI is a transformational market coverage approach that this role will bring to a world class level.

Specifically, this role will lead the team to cover large segments of the JCI customer base for service and digital subscription offerings. More specifically, this role will be a key voice in our digital subscription sales strategies for our new offerings. https://www.johnsoncontrols.com/openblue

You will be responsible for driving and expanding the inside sales function which today is primarily focused on renewal of Fire service customers with a portfolio of $105M in recurring revenue that will expand $50M - $100M in the next 24 months.

Reporting to this role will be an organization comprised of 3 supervisors managing 60 inside sellers located in the JCI Aurora Colorado call center. This team will expand over time as pilots confirm the need for more inside sellers to drive key growth programs for the business.

How you will do it

• Drive the team to hit activity metrics (Calls, Proposals, and Customer Touches).

• Deliver results for retention and secured order volume.

• Bring new digital subscription offerings to existing and prospect customers

• Scale the team to meet the demand and strategies for growth.

• Create a collaborative sales process with the local branches.

• Ensure the inside sales team is properly staffed at all times with a steady flow of candidates to address turnover.

• Pilot new approaches for growing inside sales approaches to cover the missed market by the local JCI branches

• Create and deploy new sales motions to address gaps in sales coverage in the local JCI branches.

What we look for
• BA / BS Degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Management role within a commercial call center environment (minimum 5 yrs.).
• Experience in leading subscription offerings such as Telecom, Digital, or Remote Services.
• Ability to navigate the organization and exhibit boundary-less behavior
• Working in and fostering a continuous process improvement environment.
