The Nurse Manager of Cardiac Intensive Care Unit CICU will work under the direction of the Critical Care Nursing Director to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided for the Coronary Care Unit and Intensive Care Unit at the hospital. The Critical Care Unit Nursing Manager provides supervisory direction for the development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, while maintaining operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services.
The Intensive Care Unit ICU Nursing Manager will contribute to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts. The Nurse Manager of Critical Care Unit CCU will be the front line supervisor for assigning, building and directing teams to provide care to the patients assigned.
The Manager of Intensive Care Unit ICU will collaborate with the nursing staff to meet the National Patient Safety Goals and Core Measure Initiatives especially those specific to Critical Care. The Nurse Manager of Intensive Care Unit will be proactive in identifying needs of staff and resolves issues to improve patient care and supports nursing leadership directives and initiatives.
