Traveling Nuclear Project Manager at Structural Group, Inc in Elkridge, Maryland

This Project Manager role involves 100% travel to Nuclear project sites.  The expectation is that you will manage Nuclear construction projects involving structural repair related work.  This position will be supported by the Baltimore, MD operations team. 

A typical day in the life of our Nuclear Construction Project Manager may include:

• Managing self-performed complex nuclear repair and restoration projects at Nuclear facilities


• Preparing contracts and negotiating revisions while working with internal contracts teams as needed


• Developing and managing schedules in collaboration with field leadership


• Maintaining profit & loss responsibility as well as other project financials including projections and forecasting


• Providing strong leadership and supervision to project teams (including other Project Managers, Field Managers, Project Engineers, and field crews) and subcontractors


• Working closely with in-house Estimators and Sales teams to assist in reviewing bids and developing proposals


• Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships


• Demonstrating dedication to safety and quality control on all projects

This position may be for you if you meet the following requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil / Structural Engineering or related field of study


• Minimum 3 years working in within a Nuclear facility


• Ability to work with in the Protected Area (PA) with unescorted access


• Demonstrated capability to successfully manage construction projects in the range of $1 Million - $5 Million in contract value


• Previous experience managing projects that include structural concrete repair in the nuclear power and energy industry


• Strong knowledge of computer based programs including Microsoft Office as well as  project management and forecasting tools


• Strong leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others


• Extensive travel between projects - 100% travel is required for this role
