Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive) • Develop and integrate programming strategies.• Develop and implement software designs from functional specifications.• Perform debug and commission activities on shop floor and customer site.• Prepare software documentation for customer approval, and final documentation.• Addresses potential problems and carries out appropriate actions individually or proposes solutions to the project engineer depending on the severity of the problem.• Comply with and enforce all Company and customer safety policies.• Compliance with company, legal, and regulatory requirements for Health, Safety, and Environmental topics in order to foster a culture of Health & Safety.• Executes software product design, feasibility studies, preparation of specifications and technical documentation.• Carries out engineering solutions and designs in compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements and project specifications• Regular attendance at the assigned job site(s).Education and/or Experience • Bachelor's degree in a related field, and 4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.• Working experience with powertrain assembly automation equipment and plc programming is required.• Working experience with Siemens and/or Allen Bradley software. Other Skills and Abilities • Ability to implement and troubleshoot various proprietary machine software programs and bus systems.• Knowledgeable in the use AutoCad software for electrical schematic design• Robot programming experience using ABB, Fanuc, or Kuka is preferred, but not required.• Basic knowledge of vision applications.• Ability to utilize personal computer equipped with electronic database, spreadsheet, and word processor software with high proficiency.• Travel up to 40% may be requiredthyssenkrupp System Engineering, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
