The Associate, Asset Management Marketing position is a generalist role within the marketing department of Northern Trust Asset Management, responsible for key strategic work across the department to help drive global adoption and demand for Northern Trust Asset Management's various asset class solutions.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

•Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) the Associate, AM Marketing position is a generalist role, working on a wide variety of projects with the goal of helping AM Marketing Leadership, as well as the broader team, to be more effective and efficient in engaging our audience to ultimately drive revenue and raise brand awareness.

•The primary responsibility for this role will be to coordinate and execute key strategic projects. In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined, this role will be responsible for developing competitive marketing intelligence, supporting short- and long-term marketing initiatives, and coordinating ad-hoc strategic initiatives.

•Explore innovative ways and unique platforms to host content and reach specific audiences

•Researching and assisting in the development of digital marketing tools that can be used to reach targeted audiences more efficiently

•Assist in the development of advertising strategy and messaging

•Leverage marketing analytics/metrics to generate meaningful insights that could be leveraged by the broader team

•Market research to help strengthen firm messaging, competitive positioning, digital strategy and other strategic initiatives

•Creating executive presentations in support of key executives

•Become a go-to resource for creative ideas surrounding various marketing tactics and channels

•Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact

•May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management

•Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees

•May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)

•More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas

•Delivers a work product that requires less revision

•Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions





The successful candidate will benefit from having:

•0-3 years of marketing or sales experience (marketing experience preferred)

•Undergraduate degree required

•Demonstrated working knowledge of general sales processes

•Successful experience working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with a proven ability to think creatively

•Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills

•Strong work ethic and professional demeanor

•Ability to think creatively and outside the box to find to solutions to known problems, as well as proactive and value-add ideas that benefit the overall firm objectives

•Showing sound judgment in making decisions and acting with a view to what is most appropriate, reasonable, timely and realistic

•Demonstrated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset

•Creative and technical abilities across the Microsoft office suite

•Results orientation - rigorously holding one self and others accountable for achieving high levels of individual and organizational performance and is keenly focused on results

•Results-driven, high-performing individual with excellent planning skills and attention to detail

•Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
