The Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day warehouse operations including receiving, picking, shipping, inventory and safety. In addition to these specified tasks, the Distribution Center Operations Manager will assist the Distribution Center Manager implementing future projects and maintaining current programs.

Job Responsibilities



  • This position is designed to start as an entry level operation manger position on 2nd shift, with a smaller scope and mature into a full operations manager position.
  • Maintain incoming finished goods and received transactions are put away into inventory in a timely and accurate manner and expedited trucks and items are processed as directed.
  • Provide daily, monthly and supplemental reports are completed and productivity and quality reporting is published in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that orders are picked and shipped in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner, open orders are researched and resolved, and expedited orders are processed within established time periods.
  • Supervise and maintain the safety the safety programs, coordinate inspections, and proactively resolved any outstanding safety issues
  • Develop and Implement strategic programs and initiatives for the continuous process improvement activities.
  • Ensure all business equipment including forklifts, battery chargers and RF equipment is maintained in good working order.
  • Coordinate necessary building repairs and maintenance.

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field, or Logistics/Supply Chain related experience
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze complex sets of data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications


  • 3+ years distribution center, warehouse, operations related environment
  • Leadership experience - Managing distribution operational teams and assigning tasks
  • Leadership experience - Managing distribution quality assurance/inventory teams and assigning tasks
  • Experience maintaining an occupational safety program
  • Experience managing maintenance of equipment
  • Knowledgeable in running business function reports
  • Proficient in using web-based data management systems
