Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting local HR initiatives in support of local business growth. This is a client facing role and the HR Generalist supports ongoing process improvement within and across client locations, and in some instances spanning several countries.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
General HR
Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Engage in Local HR programs (e.g., community outreach)
Facilitate local HR communications and reporting
Provide support for escalated employee inquiries
Ensure local HR compliance
Answer employee questions and addresses employee concerns with company; including employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
HR Advisor Coordination
Work with HR Advisor to support HR processes and services
Support in-country HR Advisors and business leaders to effectively roll out new or revised HR programs, policies or services.
Coordination with Shared Service Coordination
Collaborate with Shared Services to deploy services that are required to be executed at a local level. For example: payroll and benefits, local development and training, recruitment and onboarding/offboarding, separations, performance and compensation reviews
Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
Respond to human resources-related inquiries
Assist with payroll processing or follow up
Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies
Act as a resource for managers and associates to support the development process and assure understanding of business guidance.
Data gathering in support of assessment initiatives by HRBP/Advisors
Talent Management
In coordination with COE partners administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
Monitor employee morale and company culture
Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions
Maintain and submit pertinent employee records
Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary
Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
Employee Relations and Compliance
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance
Support Employee Relation issues/escalations as needed (fact finding)
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field. HR Certification a plus;
5-7 years human resources experience with knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources management. Manufacturing & Technology industry experience a plus;
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence HR professionals in a shared services environment.
Deep knowledge of Human Resources practices and a demonstrated ability to provide solutions in a complex and fast-moving environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead change management activities in the organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver on time;
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team;
Knowledge of U.S. and global employment-based immigration visas and regulations and permanent residency processes (example visa types: J-1, H-1B, L-1, TN, and PERM) preferred;
Experience with Workday a plus
Must be able to travel up to 25%
