Production Planning Coordinator CPC (Roseville, MN)
Location: Roseville, MN, US
Job Summary:
The Production Planning Coordinator, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, is responsible for scheduling, releasing, and tracking of work orders on the production floor. The Coordinator will collaborate with the production team to ensure best execution of the production schedule to meet established priorities.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Plan and schedule production orders based on established priorities and the availability of required materials and capacity
* Deliver and sequence work order packets for production
* Coordinate with the production team to actively manage the schedule
* Track and audit production orders through production to ensure the proper schedule is followed
* Monitor manufacturing system transactions for accuracy and work with leaders to correct discrepancies and eliminate the fundamental causes of the problems
* Collaborate with Team Leads and Department Supervisors regarding availability of materials, delays, changing orders and handling problems in order to meet the production plan
* Expedite orders as needed, and adjust scheduled production to meet unforeseen conditions
* Support additional objectives as needed
Basic Qualifications:
* High School Diploma
* General level of understanding of technical product and process knowledge
* Possesses a fundamental understanding of MRP (material requirements planning) tools and techniques
* Performs tasks requiring moderate proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
* Oracle ERP experience
Travel: Less than 5%
