NAPLES SITE DIRECTOR at University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma

Job Description:

NOTE: This position is located at Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy.


Acts as coordinator between field site(s) and the University of Oklahoma. Involves extensive problem solving, and utilizes
public relations skills to include briefing all levels of internal and external customers. Should be able to deal effectively with
various university departments and all services branches and their associated civilian components.
1. Coordinates with senior university and government officials under direction and with guidance of Director, Europe.
2. Compiles, evaluates, reconciles, maintains and analyzes course data to support management decisions for unit programming.
3. Widely markets programs using developed and/or approved materials.
4. Coordinates with CSO for operational guidance and support.
5. Coordinates travel information between site and professors and arranges all local logistical support (e.g. accommodations, rental car, and installation access).
6. Provides student services support to include enrollment assistance, processing applications, tuition assistance and course information.
7. Provides clarification of University procedures regarding admission, transfer credit and graduation and curriculum requirements.
8. Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed and required.
9. Follows established safety practices to health and safety of personnel and property.
10. Performs related duties as assigned.
11. Willingness to work some week nights and weekends as needed.
12. Ability and willingness to travel to yearly conference and in some cases the annual ceremony.

Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:


  • 0-18 months experience in student services or military support programs

Skills:


  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English

  • Basic math skills

  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff

  • Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines

  • Strong initiative to solve problems

  • General office skills such as multi-line phone, copying, filing, faxing, and mail

  • Customer service

Certifications:


  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to communicate and engage in repetitive motions.

Departmental Preferences:


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 24 months office management

  • Public relations and marketing experience

  • One-year experience with military education desirable 

Supervision: No Supervisory Duties

 

Other: All applicants must have a valid US ID card or be eligible to obtain one within the regulations of the Status of Forces Agreement and a social security card.
