Under general supervision, provide guidance and expertise to the full-product lifecycle of assigned products including new product development, strategic marketing, clinical/scientific sales support and financial growth. Work with and train sales forces to be able to confidently sell product to customers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate new product opportunities based on scientific merit, clinical efficacy, and market opportunity. Participate in negotiation of new product opportunities.
Work with vendors and R&D team to develop, improve product and/or formulation
Establish clinical/scientific evidence needs and work with medical affairs/clinical operation to develop scientific/clinical studies to support new/existing products.
Using existing scientific/clinical evidences, develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and promotional programs for existing products to include product strategy development, pricing strategy, collateral creation and brand management
Develop and deliver training materials for internal stakeholders, sales forces and customers, including disease state and scientific/clinical evidence on technology/product.
Conduct effective market research and translate that research into new products, product improvements, or line extensions by providing leadership to a multi-functional team.
Travel with sales force to support efforts to convert customers to purchase Medline products. Provide timely follow up to sales forces by answering product questions via e-mail and phone.
Education
Master's degree in a scientific/technical major and at least 2 years of experience in new product development or R&D OR Ph.D. in a STEM field of study .
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Experience presenting to and coordinating senior level meetings, including preparation of agendas, documenting meeting minutes, sending out documents to attendees.
Willing to travel up to 30% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
