Job Summary
PCB Assembler II with our Production Team.
Location:Rochester, MN
The PCB Assembler II assembles and/or modifies electronic components, subassemblies and systems by following specific instructions and assist in working with other less experienced assemblers. This is a 2nd shift position working Monday through Thursday from 3:45 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. (includes a 15% shift differential!)

Essential Functions and Competencies

- Ability to use hand tools and associated devices to manufacture PCBs and other electronic assemblies
- Ability to learn and master all tasks associated with PCB assembly that are assigned
- Ability to identify electronic components
- Ability to identify solder non-conformance and correct them
- Effective communication, both verbal and written
- Ability to respond to written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work with and around chemicals used in the PCB manufacturing process
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to obtain and renew certifications on assigned equipment and willingness to cross-train in other areas
- Participate in a continuous improvement activity
Qualifications / Education / Experience

- Read and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacturing of PCBs
- Identify by sight workmanship and material defects in touch-up and assembly areas and may be able to suggest basic changes to the work instructions to improve operations in these areas
- Perform tasks with a high degree of care and attention to details while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Assemble electronic components, assemblies, and modules by working from samples, visual aids, wiring lists and process sheets
- Maintain accurate material control within the work area
- Perform inspection of own work in immediate working unit
- Participate in providing timely feedback to other operations, management and support engineering, as appropriate
- Follow and maintain accurate process documentation Level II
- Perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above
- Assemble PCBs of an intermediate complexity
- May use a variety of tools to perform tasks
- Serve as a mentor to lesser skilled employees

1+ years of experience in hardware and/or simple optics assembly type activities

Candidate must have High School diploma or GED.
