The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Predictive Maintenance Methods craftsperson, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Collection and analysis of data from PdM technologies including; Infra-red Thermography, Motor Circuit Evaluation, Electrical Spectrum and Power Systems.

• Use of this data to determine electrical reliability condition of Process and Facilities Equipment.

• Use of Infra-red Thermography for equipment structural/insulation condition assessment.

• Root Cause Analysis and correction of equipment problems to improve reliability.

• Aiding in development and implementation of maintenance procedures and techniques to enhance equipment reliability.

• Maintaining Metrology Systems for ISO requirements.

• Providing support to Production, Division Engineering, and Plant Engineering groups to define and implement improvements in machine reliability.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) year Technical College Degree/Diploma in Electrical or related Electronic fields or 1080 hours of documented military school in electrical studies, verified prior to work start date.

• Able to work independently and overtime as needed.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Demonstrated high proficiency with Predictive Maintenance technologies used within areas of responsibility.

• Experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, determining root causes of failures, and eliminating equipment problems.

• Preventive maintenance program assistance or development.

• Comply with all Company EHS policies and procedures.  Possess a high regard and understanding of safety practices.  Note: Employee may generate or handle packages, labels and/or transports hazardous waste.

• Must have a good understanding of the operation of Predictive Maintenance tools.

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic.
