Operations General Manager

Summary:

We are looking for an Operations General Manager to ensure the timely and efficient handling of all products and directs the work activities. This includes supervision of personnel, procurement, safety, product inventory, maintenance programs, project management, product integrity, customer relationships, and regulatory and compliance related items. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has very strong people management skills, and always goes the extra mile to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Location: Evansville, WI

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Manage, direct, and positively motivate staff in day-to-day operations.

  • Oversight of daily operational processes, coordination, and efficiencies.

  • Supervise the efficient loading and unloading of merchandise at the location.

  • Financial results and business metrics.

  • Budgeting, CapEx planning, and R&M expenses.

  • Inventory management.

  • Assist in building a culture of cross collaboration between locations and divisions.

  • Coordinate training and development opportunities for direct reports.

  • Enforce safety policies and procedures.

  • Observe and enforce OSHA provisions.

  • Ensure housekeeping and sanitation standards are met.

Required Skills:


  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to direct and develop staff by giving timely and factual feedback to help employees achieve career aspirations.

  • Possess a strong set of core values and beliefs.

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and train the latest programs.

  • Ability to operate equipment needed such as forklift, grain sweep, hand tools, and other operational tools and equipment.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness preferred.

  • Previous shuttle loading and fertilizer plant management preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of business operations experience.
