JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently looking to add an exceptionally talented System Engineer with System Engineering experience to our growing team. The System Engineer will work with a team of engineers and modeling specialists to design, develop, and implement a new architecture utilizing a Model Based System Engineering methodology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Facilitating the System Team to design, develop and implement a new system project utilizing a Model Based Systems Engineering approach
  
  


• Analyzing the customer inputs to create use cases and define the operational context of the system
  
  


• Tra nsforming the customer inputs into system specifications
  
  


• Deriving the system architecture based on the Model Based System Engineering activities
  
  


• Maintaining the System Documentation to keep it consistent throughout the system development and release
  
  


• Presenting the status and activity outputs to project stakeholders MAIN
  
  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for driving the system team through the Model Based System Engineering activities to derive the required engineering deliverables
  
  


• Responsible for clarification and analysis of the needs, expectations and requirements from Marketing and other internal stakeholders for the project
  
  


• Create use cases based on user requirements
  
  


• Transform the User, Industrial, Security, Safety & Regulatory Requirements into System Requirements
  
  


• Document and maintain the outcomes of the system engineering activities
  
  


• Collaborate with the Systems Engineering discipline within Schneider Electric to further refine and extend the standard framework for developing systems
  
  


• Provide status updates of the System Engineering activities at various design reviews
  
  


• Supports collaboration between the sub-teams part of the systems project
  
  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills:

• 5 years Experience performing Model-Based system engineering
  
  


• Experience collaborating on a systems team developing complex systems involving hardware, embedded software, electromechanics and software components
  
  


• Hands-on experience with Jira management system preferred
  
  


• Experience writing use cases
  
  


• Experience writing specifications Experience defining/collaborating on system architecture decisions
  
  


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills
  
  


• Experience working with local, near shore and global project teams Preferred Skills
  
  


• Experience in Energy Management and/or Electrical Distribution
  
  


• Experience with Cloud Architecture (SaaS, PaaS, Web Services)
  
  


• Experience with Internet Gateway Architecture
  
  


• Experience with Scalability and/or Elasticity related to Cloud Computing
  
  


• Experience with IOT technologies
  
  


• Experience using MathWorks products (MATLAB, Simulink)
  
  

• Bachelor's degree - preferably in software, systems, computer science or electrical engineering
  
  

• Ability to think and work both independently and as part of a team environment
