Description
Position summary:
The Welder/Fitter is responsible for performing welding applications as required by job specifications with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and FCAW, as well as performing pre-welding operations with such equipment as saws, shears, automated cutting equipment, etc.

Essential duties:

• Perform welding operations as required by job specifications with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and FCAW.


• Perform pre-welding operations with saws, shears, automated cutting equipment for shaping and preparation.


• Assist in dimensional verification checks.


• Perform advanced fabrication, documents measuring, etc.


• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.


• Adhere to company policies, practices and procedures.


• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Industrial setting, refinery, petrochemical, utilities, pulp and paper mills, etc.

Qualifications
Educational requirements:

• High school diploma / GED or equivalent experience.

• 1 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.


• Must have completed and passed a 6G test on carbon steel.


• Prior experience with set-up and operation of lathe CNC machines is a plus.


• Prior Auto-Cad experience a plus.
