Job Purpose

This position is responsible for various aspects of the monthly financial closing process, analysis, and internal reporting of financial results for the business units in the Americas. Through reconciliation and analysis of monthly financial data, this position will be responsible for accurate reporting of the SBU's financial performance in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The position also includes various ad-hoc analysis as well as supporting the Americas Accounting Department in the completion of various tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain regional oversight for various decentralized accounting processes (i.e.; revenue recognition, leases, etc.). This may include the coordination, compilation, consolidation, analysis, and reconciliation of data from all regional entities and locations.

- Perform and/or support ad hoc requests and special projects as assigned. Ability to extract, organize, analyze, and report data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisions with the use of various IT systems (i.e., local ERP systems including SAP, consolidation systems, data warehouses, etc.) is critical.

- Contribute to the coordination and completion of the monthly close process.

- Review, analyze and interpret financial results, identifying and explaining material variances

- Accurately prepare and record monthly journal entries in various ERP and consolidation systems.

- Reconcile and analyze account balances. Understand transaction flow and estimate rationale. Ensure that estimates, accruals, reserves and provisions are calculated and supported with appropriate basis or backup and comply with US GAAP

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to deliver high caliber output for assigned tasks within established timelines.

- Assisting in the performance and documentation of internal control procedures.

- Support internal and external audit efforts.

- Partner with relevant business teams to determine proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated limits.

- Maintain a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and monitor compliance with these principles and company procedures.

- Support the budget and forecasting processes.

- Takes responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment by following safety procedures, using personal protective equipment as appropriate, being aware of surroundings, and correcting or reporting potential safety hazards.

- Support continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications.

- Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree

- 5+ years of relevant accounting, auditing, or business analysis experience

- Preferred: CPA, prior experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC842), project management experience, working with international teams.
