Overview:

Provides leadership, direction and oversight over the development, implementation and effective functioning of the Mercy Compliance Program throughout the assigned geographic region of Mercy's Ministry. This position may also have Mercy-wide responsibility for one or more service lines as determined by the Chief Compliance Officer. Facilitates policies and processes to support adherence to the Mercy Code of Conduct and Compliance Program Plan by Mercy co-workers and physicians serving in all assigned hospitals, clinics, Mercy-wide service lines, and post-acute facility locations. The Compliance Director reports to Executive Director-Compliance, and performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission and values.

Qualifications:

* Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in health care regulatory compliance required; experience in Clinical Research and/or IRB Compliance a plus.

* Required Education: Bachelor's degree

* Preferred Education: Master's Degree preferred

* Certifications: Certified in Healthcare Compliance or Certified in Research Healthcare Compliance through the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) or become certified within 24 months of hire.
