Summary:

The Sales Forecasting Analyst position is responsible for gathering data from Customers, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, analyzing information, maintaining data models, and preparing reports for internal and external customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Basic Functions:


- Compile, review, verify and analyze weekly forecast data from customers, and publish reports.

- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, cleanse and prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.

- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

- Interact with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to understand demand forecast drivers.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure data quality and improve data access.

Job Functions:


- Validate historical data, prepare override data, load resulting demand data into forecasting software, and export forecast output into databases.

- Review statistical forecast model and apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting.

- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process.

- Monitor inventory level and actual shipments to measure forecast performance.

- Other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

General:


- 1-3 years' experience in an analyst role in a business environment. Experience providing analytical support to Sales and Customer Experience departments.


- Experience working with Excel and SQL.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and/or Experience:


- BA/BS college degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or related field or equivalent experience

Language Skills:


- Capable of speaking, reading and writing English and have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communication, planning, negotiation and organizational skills and the ability to independently manage a heavy workload.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Mathematical Skills:


- Possess ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as, probability and statistics. Apply concepts, such as, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

- Understand Metric and English measurement units. be able to read and understand die-lines, product diagrams and product specifications.

Reasoning Ability:


- Have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. be able to use good judgement and ask questions as needed.

Computer Skills:


- Forecast Pro Application experience preferred

- Enterprise ERP experience. Dynamics 365/Dynamics AX preferred

- Workflow & Process Documentation preferred

- Power BI experience preferred
