Position reports to Plant Manager. Duties inlcude but are not limited to:
*Schedule all Valway equipment to fulfill business delivery commitments.
*Track and document all associate performance for direct reports, including safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
*Track, analyze, and improve equipment efficiency losses involving manning and scheduling.
*Control labor costs through the management of non-straight time labor, including training pay, Gaines McArthur premium, and overtime.
*Ensure that all equipment is operated by competent associates who have been properly trained.
*Schedule and utilize the VOH Supervisor.
*Schedule and utilize the Valway cleaning associates.
*Owner of Daily Team Maintenance. Ensure that all equipment meets cleaning standards.
*Support the safety process through sub-committee participation ,strategic initiative risk reduction, and auditing.
*Ensure all equipment is operated according to specifications, all production is reported accurately, and all testing is performed and reported correctly.
*SAP competency and utilization.
*Track, analyze, and resolve SAP production issues including COGI's and production order errors.
*Drive the plant 5S initiative. Be the housekeeping champion.
*Engage associates on a daily basis in a positive manner.
*Understanding schedule vs. expected shipment dates (communicating with plant supply chain and Senior Operations Manager)
*Understanding inspection inventory and bottlenecks vs. expected shipment dates (communicating with plant supply chain and senior operations manager)
*Maintain departmental compliance with ISO and MPS framework to ensure appropriate job-related training is given to all associates by providing the essential resources

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field or 5+ years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
