Primary Purpose:

Program Manager for OpenText Professional Services is an instrumental role leading to the successful delivery of large-scale, mission critical enterprise-level systems implementation and solutions. Responsible for the coordination of efforts required to manage, deliver, and secure acceptance of client projects. Provide project management support related to requirement capture, design, implementation, custom solution development, consultation, deployment, support services and administrative activities. Responsible for management of resources and tasks from scoping, planning, and execution, to deployment, acceptance, and transition. Ensure all client requirements are met and projects will be delivered successfully on time and on budget.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

- End-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of client projects for OpenText Professional Services. Manage stakeholder's communication, expectations, responsibilities, project schedules and timelines.
- Establish clarity, manage, negotiate, and document project scope and requirements. Identify, quantify, manage, and respond to project changes and risk factors.
- Ensure effective collaboration across groups and all resources involved when delivering services and solutions to clients, ultimately in ensuring client expectations can be met.
- Participate and lead scoping calls, kickoffs, status meetings, and general meetings with sales, partners, and customers (pre- and post-sales).
- Manage and resolve project and personnel conflicts and support escalations; negotiate with customers and partners to reach optimal and mutually agreeable outcome as necessary.
- Be astute and sensitive to environmental factors and stakeholder influences that may impact decision making and overall project success.
- Contributing to and writing detailed, quality technical documentation, solution proposals, SOW, business requirements, functional specs, use cases, test plans, and technical marketing collaterals.
- Participation in the services pre-sales process and contributing to sales/bid documentation.
- Actively seek new opportunities by working with the customer, and the change control provisions provided by the contract, to extend the scope of profitable business.
- Perform required administrative tasks and operational activates when managing project setup, cost and time tracking and management, fulfillment, invoicing, and generating statement of work contracts.
- Support cross-regional teams and global delivery model.

Technical and Functional Skills Required:

- Five to seven years of experience in managing IT or enterprise system (cloud and on-premise) implementation projects, or IT/Professional Service technical account management.
- Hands-on system implementation or administration experience strongly desired.
- Prior experience as Technical/Functional/Business Analyst desired.
- Accreditation in PRINCE2 /APM/PMI/Six Sigma or another Project management certification desired.
- Understanding of current cloud and software technology (e.g. Web Services, SaaS/PaaS, Windows, cloud networking, hosting, .Net/J2EE, web services, SQL, systems integration, web security, compliance) strongly desired.
- Experience in document management, enterprise faxing, telephony (FoIP), network engineering, BPM, or working within financial, governmental, and healthcare verticals desired.
- Expert knowledge with Microsoft Projects, Visio, Office tools or other project management tools.
- Experience in performing WBS tasks, writing accurate technical scope/requirements documents, creating complex project plans for enterprise-level projects, and acceptance documents.
- Familiarity with software development methodology and best practices (SDLC, RUP, Agile) strongly desired.
- Proven success managing client escalations and issue resolution with technical support organizations.
- Four-year college degree in Information Technology, MIS, or Business desired.
- Experience providing business analytics and requirement/technical analysis activities.

Behavioral Skills and Competencies Required:

- Experience working within software Professional Services, IT project/program management, or enterprise-level/cloud consultancy organizations strongly desired.
- Experience working with sales, customers and partners within software services or information technology disciplines. Delivering presentations to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong people skills and must have excellent customer services orientation. Ability to build and manage strong customer relationships, both internal and external, including third parties.
- Proven success in managing cross-functional teams and delivery of complex engagements.
- Excellent formal written communication skills both on a technical and business level. Ability to communicate at both the technical and managerial level.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities at any given time. Outstanding organizational and time management skills required.
- Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, detailed oriented, and requires minimal supervision.
- Flexibility with work hours to be able to manage projects in US and/or EMEA time zones, as necessary.
- Travel: some travel may be required for this position.
