The Insitu Engineering Team has a future need for an experienced and skilled senior level Network Engineering Specialist to support product design and development across the range of Insitu Systems.If you interested in learning more about Insitu, or this potential need, apply directly.

Is responsible for the designs of fielded, embedded Layer 2 networks, including all QoS, VPN, VNF (virtual network function), and similar guarantees. Keep up to date on current COTS switch capabilities and common industry Layer 2 protocols. Support hardware design teams with Layer 1 design issues.
Is responsible for generation of field system embedded network configuration information and management techniques. Provide in-house support to service teams for all identified fielded embedded network issues.
Is responsible for the designs of field system Layer 3 networks, including highly adaptive IP schemes, IP tunneling, NFV (network function virtualization), integration into customer networks, and cybersecurity issues. Work tightly with SW teams on both system behavioral adaption to network performance and adoption of IP-V6 design and implementation.
Provides in-house support to service teams for all identified fielded enterprise network issues. Provide non-technical-user level network setup documentation and debugging tools.
Is responsible for understanding, measurement, and management of embedded and enterprise level network bandwidth usage and margins, including implementation and use of modeling and simulation techniques.
Is responsible for collaborating with other internal and external organizations performing R&D on new network technologies, including assessment of applicability and implementation.
Works with the product system level architecture team to maintain product compatibility and design intent.
Works with the company IT and cybersecurity departments on integration of company wide security measures into the fielded products.
Develops systems requirements/specifications and designs, deploys and/or operates company's network equipment, servers or server operations systems.
Develops and/or reviews installation plans.
Leads the installation and/or reconfiguration activities for hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication networks.
Analyzes researched options regarding applicability for company's use, makes and/or reviews hardware/software recommendations and selects items for stakeholder review.
Performs a variety of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing activities.
Provides specifications, detailed schematics and documentation for network architecture.
Leads the auditing of network policies and procedures and develops metrics.
Plans and anticipates future capacity requirements.
Develops and implements solutions for network problems.
Leads coordination of third-party maintenance of network equipment.

Education and Experience
Technical bachelor's degree and 9 or more years related work experience or a Master's degree with 7 or more years of related work experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in mathematics, sciences or technologies.
