ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for coordinating all parts within the lean management system. Provides direction (through supervisor) and coordinates activities involving material handlers, Planners, and the Fabrication department. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment within the assigned areas.
DUTIES
Maintain Kanban spreadsheet
Work with Group Leads and Supervisors for improvements to Materials department.
Work with re-package team and the receiving team to ensure totes are re-packaged for Kanban picking.
Provide Cycle Count with spot check locations
Maintain overflow materials.
Conduct cost and benefit analysis, schedule and allocate resources.
Identify areas of process improvement.
Establish goals, objectives and select cross-functional members in team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse or cycle counting.
Minimum of 1 year experience driving forklift. Certification not necessary.
Ability to complete work with limited supervision and instruction in a timely manner.
Knowledge of central warehouse/stores operations.
Knowledge of ST/OT
Knowledge of JDE, DSI, and Microsoft Suite.
Knowledge of receiving and movement of material from location to location.
Knowledge and experience with processing work orders.
Must be able to work as a member of a team and also independently.
Ability to read blue prints.
Excellent organization skills.
Must be self-motivated.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Supports and participates in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts.
