Job Description:

Havana Central Restaurant in Menlo Park seeks experienced Bussers/Runners! A Havana Central Bussers/Runners is an essential part to the success of our restaurant.

What You'll Do:

• Create a welcoming environment for our guests by ensuring the dining room is clean, free from trash and debris, and tables are set up properly.


• Work within a team to clear and reset tables quickly between seatings.


• Sweep floors, stock glassware and ice, and ensure restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly.


• Deliver or run food to table once it is prepared.


• Be extremely efficient and detail oriented along with having a courteous manner as you are always in direct contact with guests and servers.


• You'll be the last person to see each dish before it reaches guests, so its important to know what each dish is supposed to look like so nothing is missed.


• Handle plates carefully and deliver/run out in a timely manner to ensure optimal food temperature.


• Describe dishes to guests, remove soiled plates, restock supplies, maintain a clean work space.

What We're Looking For:

• 6 months experience as a Busser in a full-service restaurant preferred


• Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.


• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.


• Basic to intermediate English communication skills.


• Ability to work effectively within a team.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.


• Continuous use of hands and arms as well as bending, reaching and twisting.
