Position reports to the Process Improvement Manager. Duties include but are not limited to:
*Improve the value of our products to the businesses we support and end users of our products through continuous improvement efforts in raw and indirect materials, processing specifications, equipment capabilities and associate competencies.
*Supervise production associates and systems for safe and efficient realization of production needs through improvement and/or control of labor utilization, training, morale, downtime, daily management processes, 5S, and OOF product disposition.

*Productshave accurate specifications and are costed correctly
*Quality lossesare tracked and focused improvement activities are current to reduce those losses.
*Efficiency lossesinvolving processing methods and MED are identified and focused improvement activities are current to reduce those losses.
*Quality Auditing is performed weekly on each range to verify that the quality management system is effective.
*Owns Quality Maintenance
*Auxiliary Equipment has accurate specifications and technical support.
*Customer complaints are investigated through root cause analysis and communicated to the business and customer
*The Safety Process is supported through sub-committee participation and strategic initiative risk reduction
*SAP and Barco support of allproducts that run at Valway.
*Timely disposition of Out Of Flow.
*Active involvement inCross Functional Teams
*Safety: Participate in a leadership role. Exhibit high standards of safety compliance. Investigate all safety incidents in area of ownership.
*Track and document all Associate Performance for direct reports including safety, quality, productivity, and attendance
*Payroll
*Control Labor Costs through the management of non-straight time labor, including training pay, G/M premium and overtime.
*Drives Continuous Skills Development. Responsible for executing process specific (ie, job training) & Plant Wide (ie, PIV, hoist,...) training and certifications. Collaborates with EH&S Mgr for specialized EH&S training. Collaborates with QFs for process specific training and certification. Maintains process specific training records of all direct reports.
*Expedite Production to realize business delivery requirements. Manage the prioritization of delivery/Late positions (ZVLOS). Work with Supply Chain to optimize scheduling
*Process Reliability Continuous Improvement. Systematically Measure, Analyze, and Improve equipment scheduled stops (start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers). Control and report against standardized times. Collaborate with PI and QF for improvement.

*Drives Daily Team Maintenance. Ensure all equipment meets cleaning standards & operators perform all daily & weekly requirements. Continuously improve DTM process.
*Drive 5S in areas of responsibility, including the organization and availability of 580300 supplies necessary for production.
*Perform standard work auditing.
*Work with the Quality Facilitators to track, report, and Expedite OOF - 1. WIP OOF 2. Re-Inspect(1999) 3) Reworks . Collaborate with PIs.
Engage associates on a daily basis in a positive manner.
Four year degree in Engineering required. Previous work experience in Process Improvement preferred.
