Overview

We are hiring an Information Security Analyst to be a part of the Enterprise Security & Risk Management department, reporting to the Information Security Manager. The Information Security Analyst is an integral part of the Information Security Strategy responsible for activities such as cyber threat intelligence, defense tactics, security incident response, security by design, and end user security awareness.

This position is being filled in conjunction with a related company, Blue Ocean Enterprises, Inc. and will be located on the Blue Ocean employee roster. The employee's job duties will support both entities.

Responsibilities

Use security intelligence to identify security vulnerabilities in the environment and partner with the application and system owners to fix these vulnerabilities.
- Monitor for and identify security risks and incidents using system and network security monitoring tools.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents as part of the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team, including being a part of an on call schedule to respond to security incidents outside of normal business hours.
- Administrate and oversee security software and managed security services such as data loss prevention, IDS/IPS, network proxy, security event monitoring, and anti-virus.
- Research technologies and processes that will strengthen Otter's and Blue Ocean's security posture and make recommendations to information security leadership.
- Work with and advise employees to design business processes that embed data protection into operations.
- Develop and document security operations processes and security guidelines.
- Monitor technical configurations and business processes to assure adherence to company policies and compliance with regulatory requirements, such as PCI-DSS and global data privacy laws.
- Develop security awareness materials and provide role-specific training and guidance to individuals.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- Minimum three years of information technology experience.
