What does this role look like?
You will be responsible for delivering quality solutions through the management of environmental, regulatory, construction, industrial marine, or other government projects related to the performance of energy and fuels related contracts.
Some of your main responsibilities will be:


  • Project support activities and overview.
  • Assists with analyzing and developing project scope, with a specific focus on the environmental, regulatory, and compliance aspects of bulk fuel infrastructure, in the U.S. as well as abroad.
  • Provide Operational support in areas of Remote Logistics, Distribution, Brokering, and infrastructure.
  • Provide Administrative Support, with a specific focus on coordinating customers, contracts, financial and other collaborative activities between the Business Unit Lead and other Corporate/Solutions services.
  • Additional responsibilities include preparation of solicitation packages with the Solutions Team, review of project proposals, resource requirements, and management of change to assist with development of the project.
  • Review and report activities of on-site project personnel to ensure successful project completion.
  • Communicate project status to key stakeholders: Operations, Procurement, Finance, Risk, and Corporate Facilities in review of professional services, construction, or asset implementation contracts, and contribute to the continual enhancement of project management methodology.
  • Follow all Crowley policies and procedures.
Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business (finance, management, contracting), engineering (civil, structural, mechanical), environmental, supply chain, logistics, or any combination.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in program/project management, petroleum operations, government service and/or engineering/construction projects associated with energy infrastructure having budgets exceeding $5 million.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint in addition to utilizing project management and procurement software such as Oracle, Primavera, and/or Microsoft Project.
Nice-to-haves:

  • Environmental research, investigation, remediation or restoration projects for federal or state government agencies.
  • Knowledge of project management, planning and cost control management desired.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, procurement, budgeting and administrative management desired.

  • Prior government contracting experience, specifically with the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • International experience.
  • Active US DoD classified clearance.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: refined petroleum fuels, fuels infrastructure, remote multi-modal logistics, and/or environmental/regulatory/engineering disciplines highly desired.

Working Conditions

Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.

FLSA Status

The position is Exempt. May require the ability to work overtime to meet required deadlines. All work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health are expected to be respected and complied.
