Forensic Accountant - Associate

Our core areas of work include anti-bribery and fraud investigations, regulatory investigations, contract disputes, IP theft investigations and other litigation advisory services.

Against the backdrop of our growing presence globally, an opportunity exists in Dubai for a high performing qualified forensic accountant who wishes to further their career with like-minded, highly motivated, analytical, inquisitive professionals in the support of building the best in class for Forensic Services. The successful appointee will provide litigation consulting, expert testimony and reports, and forensic analysis as well as conduct incisive fraud investigation and forensic accounting services.

Critical Capabilities

You will be highly analytical and technically competent with a strong attention to detail. You will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a high performing team. Critically, you will need to be client facing with an emphasis on being able to articulate complex findings in a clear and meaningful manner. In addition, the successful candidate will:

• Perform initial analyses and provide summaries of accounting, finance, and economic issues  


• Review documents to identify items relevant to an investigation or dispute consulting matter 


• Assist with compiling, analysing, and documenting facts for matters under investigation or in litigation 


• Assist in developing and/or evaluating damages, claims and calculations 


• Prepare financial models, cash flow analysis, and other analyses to support business valuations and damage assessments 


• Assist with drafting reports and findings including the preparation of tables, exhibits, and charts 


• Assist with researching technical and industry specific issues 


• Develop and suggest solutions to complex problems by thinking "outside the box" 


• Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities 


• Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management 

Qualifications  

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred), finance, law, economics or another business-related field 


• 2-5+ years of experience in Big 4 or accounting firm or a forensic/dispute consulting practice in a professional services firm 


• ACA / ACCA / CPA qualification or equivalent


• Excellent analytical rigour


• Interest in forensic/dispute consulting and business valuation 


• Flexibility to travel 


• Have first class report writing skills; excellent written and oral communication skills are essential


• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint 


• Be fluent in English
