Job Description:


We are now looking for a Live Broadcast Platform Applied Engineer.

NVIDIA is hiring hardworking, outstanding engineers to work in the Professional Visualization Applied Engineering team. Live Video Broadcast over networks has seen exponential growth in recent years. With technology standards such as SMPTE 2110, even the most demanding video quality is now possible to broadcast over Ethernet and this is enabling a transition away from bespoke video processing hardware appliances to software defined applications running on GPU enabled servers. When combined with Artificial Intelligence this has the potential to revolutionize the broadcast industry.

What you will be doing:


  • Work with some of the most hardworking and ground breaking developers throughout the world and interact closely with the architecture and driver teams at NVIDIA.


  • Experiment with the latest GPU technologies to develop new algorithms and techniques, investigate and optimize performance challenges, build prototype demonstrations of amazing new technologies and solutions.


  • Have opportunities to write whitepapers and present your work at conferences.


What we need to see:


  • Currently pursuing a MS or PhD from a leading University in an engineering or Computer Science related subject area.


  • 5+ years industry experience, developing complex products.


  • Working knowledge of real time rendering techniques, algorithms, paradigms and related math.


  • You'll possess strong knowledge of C/C++, software design, programming techniques, as well as AI and Deep Learning algorithms.


  • Direct programming experience with real-time graphics APIs such as OpenGL, Vulkan and DirectX12.


  • Experience with parallel programming, ideally CUDA C/C++, is a very strong plus.


  • The ideal candidate would also have experience developing applications in one or more of the following: ray tracing, video and image processing, graphics engines such as UE4 or Unity.


  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, time management, and task prioritization skills.
