Job Description:

This Commercial Auto opportunity’s primary responsibility is to evaluate, analyze and underwrite individual risks in support of a specialized Environmental Division. 

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Research and Evaluate Data from the FMCSA, CAB, DNB, and Submission Documents


• Utilize ISO Admitted Commercial Auto Guidelines


• Determine terms and conditions and complex rating plans


• Quote and Bind coverage


• Link with GL Underwriters to partner in presentation of packaged account


• Correspond with Wholesale Producers for acquisition of necessary data to partner and provide the best solutions


• Handle more complex files and portfolios utilizing procedures employed by the company within defined authority parameters

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years commercial underwriting experience


• Bachelor’s degree

• Proficiency in math and statistics


• Verbal and written communication skills.


• Negotiation and interpersonal skills.


• Knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures


• Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
