The JPMC Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) Business Intelligence & Analytics Team is responsible for driving a best-in-class metrics and analytics capability across the Global Technology Infrastructure organization. The team identifies and pursues business intelligence innovation initiatives across GTI, structures analytics to explore improvement opportunities, and drives culture change and community of practice around metrics-driven decision making. The team also builds and manages impactful dashboards for a number of stakeholders, including managing underlying data sourcing and modeling. Working alongside experienced analytical staff and subject matter experts within the firm, you will confidently use analytical approaches and data visualization tools to identify data to define actionable insight to support GTI's strategic objectives. Key responsibilities will include:
Data & Analytics:
Structuring analytics to identify potential opportunities for change, including the identification of the key measures that will move the needle for specific GTI products
Leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau and QlikView and data transformation tools such as Alteryx to build impactful dashboards for leadership and GTI stakeholders
Conducting clear analysis, logical structuring, and creative problem solving on critical issues
Working with stakeholders on requirements for key business metrics, visualization, delivery and enabling actionable insights
Supporting the GTI technology data strategy through the building of common product, business, and reference databases and automation
Lead initiatives and identify opportunities using data analysis techniques, graphic design and/or programming expertise to visually show product performance.
Collaborate with the product office and data teams and present recommendations on how to strategically solve problems and convey key messages using data visualization
Program Management/ Communications
Creating management materials and collateral to provide ongoing updates on in-flight strategic BI initiatives
Independently Managing multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business and organizational units
Building relationships with technology management, internal users and external stakeholders
Communicating recommendations and status updates to impacted stakeholders ensuring that BI and data needs are being met
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Statistics, Mathematics or similar)
3+ years of hands-on experience developing analytical solutions in a fast-paced environment (preferably financial services) and/or experience in management consulting with a heavy emphasis on quantitative analysis
Strong data visualization capabilities, including at least 2 years of experience in Tableau, QlikView or similar tools to design and implement analytics
At least 2 years of experience in data sourcing, transformation and clean up, including use data ETL tools such as Alteryx (preferred), Informatica, Tableau Prep
At least 2 years of experience in data querying using API, ODBS connections, Access DB and Excel
Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, charting, macros, calculations)
Coding experience a plus, e.g., HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript
Understanding of Software Development, Agile, DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering concepts a plus
Familiarity with infrastructure technology a plus, e.g., datacenter compute, storage, database, network, mainframe, middleware
Strong creative problem-solving skills
Ability to seamlessly switch between high level strategic thinking and detailed technical analysis
Ability to set goals, prioritize and manage across complex workstreams, and drive progress proactively and independently
Comfort with ambiguity, including the application of skills within new and unfamiliar domains
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including ability to boil down complex/ technical concept
