WHILE REPORTING TO THE DIRECTOR OF SALES, MARKETING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR UNCOVERING NEW BUSINESS AND GROWING REVENUE WITH NEW CLIENTS FOR THE DISPLAY & PACKAGING DIVISION OF SONOCO.

* Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing new business.

* Contacts past and potential new clients to establish rapport, arrange meetings, and identify opportunities in line with the division's capabilities.

* Discovers and explores business opportunities by researching organizations and individuals to find new clients.

* Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials while maintaining a robust sales funnel.

* Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations.

* Examines risks and potentials for business opportunities while finding and developing new markets and improving sales.

* Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing quotes and proposals for clients; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.

* Enhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

* Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.

* Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

This position can be performed remotely. Locations in the Midwestern or Eastern United States are preferred.

* Demonstrated success in sales funnel development and prospecting is required

* Travel up 75%.
