Primary Function
We are seeking aDistribution Operations Supervisor who will be responsible for training and directing a group ofhourly associates in the movement of merchandise through the department within specified productivity, cost, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assigns, directs, and monitors the work of hourly associates.
- Designs and implements work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve service within an assigned department.
- Motivates associates to ensure that predetermined productivity, cost, and quality standards are achieved or exceeded.
- Ensures safety and housekeeping.
- Trains new associates in the use of equipment, processes and procedures.
- Prepares and submits daily and weekly paperwork.
- Recommends daily manpower requirements based on volume.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business Management
- Minimum of 3 years of distribution or manufacturing work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous supervisory / leadership experience.
- Ability to handle people under high-stress situations.
