Job Description:

Playa Largo Resort and Spa, a luxury Marriott Autograph Collection property, has an opportunity for a Hotel Manager to join our team. We are looking for a talented individual with excellent communication skills that possess a strong work ethic, polished appearance, enthusiastic demeanor and a genuine desire to care for and serve others. Playa Largo features 176 luxury rooms and suites, including 10 private bungalows, a 3-bedroom beach house, ballroom with private courtyard, private marina with boat ramp, a full-service spa, salon, wedding lawn, sports courts and fitness facilities. Playa Largo offers plenty of waterfront and indoor space for events ranging from weddings to private and corporate events. This property also features four restaurants and bars including an upscale steak house, fresh seafood restaurant, ceviche & sushi bar, in-room dining, full banquet and catering department, pool & beach bar, and a sunset terrace.

The Hotel Manager oversees the entire operation of the Hotel. Operations include: Rooms Division, Food and Beverage, Engineering and Recreation reporting directly to the General Manager. It is the Hotel Manager’s job to deal effectively with guests, management and associates while keeping the hotel running effortlessly. Expectations are to work with and support the Playa Largo team to share skills, knowledge and resources through supportive and passionate guidance as well as focusing on standard operating procedures and guidelines for Shaner Hotel Group while instilling luxury service.

Job Requirements:


  • Minimum 3 to 4 years work experience in a 4 to 5 Star Hotel as Asst. Operations Manager or Hotel Manager.

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in hotel, business or hospitality management.

  • Demonstration of strong leadership and motivational skills.

  • Strong communication skills are essential.

  • Ensure SOP implementation in all departments and check the same during routine operational checks.

  • Excellent financial management skills with experience of budgets, P&L's and forecasting.

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes. Dealing with Suppliers / Vendors for quality products.

  • Inspecting all departments with their respective Manager's for cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, staff grooming & hospitality culture.

  • Monitor the co-ordination between all departments for smooth & efficient operations.

  • Assessing and reviewing guest satisfaction and service recovery process.

  • Meet all dept. heads to review & train the staff to reduce turnover.

  • Identifying staff learning needs and assisting with development.

  • Providing timely and constructive feedback to all direct reports as and when required.

  • Monitor and maintain operation & overhead cost in order to maintain maximum revenue to the organization.

  • Any other duties as assigned.
