Responsible for the funding of and insuring process for all applicable residential loans. Must have a solid knowledge of fundamentals of mortgage; coordinate with title companies, government agencies, and branches to address any questions or resolve any issues to ensure loans are funded and insured in a timely manner. Requires in depth knowledge of government insuring processes and, reviewing product specific, knowledge of state specific signatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrates core values and guiding principles as outlined in the Bank's identity statement.
Ensures that all activities and work functions comply with compliance requirements as are defined in company policies and procedures and state/federal laws and regulations.
Confirms closings and retrieves and reviews all relevant documents from the settlement agent for completeness and accuracy
Calculates funding amounts and arranges for wires or other funding to be issued in a timely manner.
Authorizes the release of funds when all conditions are met to satisfy the bank's lien as well as compliance with any regulatory matters applicable
Ensure timely payment of all insuring premiums for loan guarantees to private and/or government insuring authorities
Ensure timely retrieval of insuring documents from said authorities
Works with authorities to resolve any issues in ensuring guarantees as applicable
Must have working knowledge of various investor guidelines and current regulatory guidelines such as RESPA, MDIA, TILA and TRID.
Performs quality review of file to ensure accuracy and preaudits the file before shipping to investors
Ensure all funding conditions are satisfied
Review executed documents for completeness
Maintain real time loan status within LOS
Communicate details with title companies, vendors, and internal staff throughout the process
Assist with investor conditions and post-closing functions
Coordinates with the title company and Loan Officer to issue the Mortgage loan proceeds and fund the loan to the title company.
Work closely with Post Closing to decrease the amount of post-closing exceptions
Ensures confidentiality of bank and customer information
Performs other duties as assigned
. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years relevant experience
Thorough knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations (FHA, VA, Conventional)
Thorough knowledge of title/ownership documentation records
Encompass experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Excellent computer skills in a Windows environment.
Ability to meet deadlines and handle stress.
Ability to Multi-task.
Self-Motivated and Detail Oriented.
Ability to work well with others.
