Job Description:

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum education requirement:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Fork Lift license required
  • Minimum 2 years warehousing experience
  • Experience in a global manufacturing environment preferred
  • Minimum 1 year fork truck experience

  • Computer and Technology Skills:

    Use of Microsoft Office Suites software in a windows operating system.

    Other Computer skills & software for position:

  • Proficient in Warehouse Scanning System for Stock Management
  • Knowledge of MRP SAP preferred

  • Language Skills:

    The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customer, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management. The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. The ability to speak clearly so others can understand you. Ability to speak, write and communicate in English. Spanish could be of support.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to financial applications. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to create read and interpret graphs.Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems. The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted. The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).     Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the delivery/transportation of products.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
  • Unload/Load cargo from a container or truck using forklift or pallet jack.
  • Place HU labels on receiving pallets
  • Receive transits correctly using SAP or mobile scanner.
  • Confer or correspond with material planners to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping. Contact carrier representatives, such as UPS and FedEx, to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, pallet jack or cart.
  • When authorization is received returning materials to vendor.
  • Learn, understand and apply TK's Quality Program.
  • Additional responsibilities and activities can be added as needed by supervisor or management.
