Position Description:

The Indirect Lending Specialist will have all the responsibilities and skills of the Sr. Indirect Processor.  They will process loans as needed due to volume and in addition, this position will also back up the Indirect Funding Supervisor to fund, Quality Control and ensure the ACH amounts are accurate and timely.  The Lending Specialist will also take on additional duties such as problem resolution for unable to funds, dealer contacts, and Accounting General Ledger (GL) and Automated Clearing House (ACH) reports and balancing.  This position will carry higher exception authority than the Indirect Processor Sr.  as well as more complex contract resolution.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Funds processed loans and ensures high quality and monies paid to dealership is correct


• Resolve funding issues with dealers or members to ensure accuracy and completeness


• Review all support documentation for accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to contracts, purchase orders, application for titles, proof of name change documentation, Bill of Sale, Insurance validation, Credit bureaus, verify applications, warranties, gap, dealer products, MSRP / Book sheet and input data as needed


• Ensuring that we are meeting  all legal and compliance requirements for each loan file


• Reconcile Accounting GL and ACH report


• Move loans per member request


• Ensure that underwriting conditions are met by reviewing documentation and clearing conditions if warranted


• Review loan files to clear fraud shields, red flags, check id’s and paperwork for fraud and compliance. To mitigate skips, straw purchases, dealer, and member fraud.


• Calculate monies owed to dealership by evaluating lending guidelines with program requirements and dealership numbers


• Other duties as required

Minimum formal education required for this position:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum work experience:

5+ years’ experience with general lending / loan experience or equivalent work experience

3+ years’ Consumer Lending / Processing experience

Technical or specialized knowledge/skills:

Extensive knowledge of Indirect Lending practices, policies, and procedures.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy of all transactions is of critical importance

Excellent mathematical accuracy

Professional and courteous communication skills are of critical importance

Expert knowledge of Symitar with authority to make changes to loan details

Strong working functionality in our loan booking system and dealership relations

Strong Working Knowledge of loan documentation requirements

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook.)

Proficient using 10 Key for data entry

Environmental, physical and psychological requirements: 

Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.  Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as data entry and filing.  Must be able to communicate effectively through typical means such as email and telephone use.  Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical of an office environment.  Must be able to interact via email, telephone, or in person with diplomacy, tact, and courtesy with all members under varying circumstances.  Must be able to handle escalated phone calls from dealerships and members.

Starting Hourly Rate: $19.73+
