We re looking for a strong operational leader and supervisor for all members of Shipping, Receiving, Stockroom and Warehouse areas. The hired candidate will ensure the team is safe, while working in a safe manner, and environment. The Logistics Supervisor will make sure the team is aligned and committed to the CTI / Polycold Quality Management System (QMS). He/she will focus on Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, and company core values. This person will plan, organize, and monitor the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or manufacturing cells, to ensure a smooth and consistent operation. This role will ensure parts and supplies are located and distributed properly in an effective, accurate and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

* Directing flow of materials and products from warehouse to warehouse using Oracle ERP computer system barcoding, packing slips, kit lists, and pick slips.

* Set pace on operations floor to assure on time shipments and delivery of material

* Liaison with internal and external customers to address priorities, examine root cause of problems and assist Logistics manager in developing systemic improvements.

* Main point of contact for internal and external customer escalations, ship sets and problems triage

* Must be able to coordinate picks with the various roles of the organization: shipping, manufacturing, purchasing, and planning

* Must be able to understand packing slips, purchase orders, and goods receipt processing with the supply chain management organization

* Responsible for domestic and International shipments

* Manage cycle count program that empowers warehousing staff to prevent errors

* Monitor receiving/handling and shipping of hazardous product

* Assess current hazmat and regulatory handling programs

* Work with Logistics Manager to identify and implement process improvements and best practices through 5S and lean principles

* Attention to detail and driven to success of the team

* Foster team culture of empowerment and accountability

* Develop standard work instructions and procedures for all key activities

* Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures

Organization Chart:

Required Experience:

* Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a warehouse or equivalent environment

* Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a warehouse or equivalent environment

* Must have high school diploma or GED

* Able to read, write, and communicate effectively

* Able be comfortable using computer & barcoding warehouse systems

* Must have experience with 5S, lean manufacturing, and warehouse organization

* Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus

* Experience with HazMat DOT/IATA shipping regulations a plus

* Experience with APICs is a plus (American Production and Inventory Control Society)

* Ability to perform physical functions to include lifting 50 lbs

* Detail oriented

* Ability to work with minimal supervision

Scope of the job:

* This position will work as a Supervisor in support of our fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing operations.

* The position will be located in Chelmsford, MA and will report to the Logistics Manager.

* This operational role will direct work queue and material flow process: goods receipt, inventory storage and accuracy, shipment processing, hazardous material processing and handling, customer care.

This role sits within Edwards Vacuum, the CTIP Product company in Chelmsford which is part of the newly formed Semi Chamber Solutions Division within Atlas Copco s Vacuum Technique business area.
