Job Description:

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of the cashier/adjustment processes for Patient Financial Services. Such responsibilities encompass not only the internal functioning of the area, but also the integration of these services into the overall functioning of BSA. This position supports a culture of excellent customer service and practices these standards to all customer groups. This person is also responsible for quality assessment and improvement activities associated with the area.

Education/Licensure/Certifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

* Two to five years job related experience

* Demonstrated customer service and progressive responsibility

* Some college education in business related field desired

* Medical Office experience is preferred

* Some health insurance experience preferred

* Accounting experience a plus

* Cross trained in all areas of respective unit

* Exceeds or Best in Class in yearly evaluations

* Is willing and able to perform all and any duties required by this level of position

* Must exhibit desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision and the BSA Way

* Good interpersonal and customer service skills (written, verbal, and phone)

* Must be highly organized, be able to process files rapidly and efficiently, and have good follow-through skills

* Ability to multi-task constantly, tolerate interruptions, display flexibility, and work independently

* Solid keyboard data entry skills and working knowledge of computers and basic office equipment

* Must display an intermediate to high level of expertise with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel

* Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately

* Skilled in leadership and coaching staff

* Excellent math skills

* Ability to read and interpret insurance contracts and explanation of benefits

* Must display the ability to make decisions on own
