Job Description:

DESCRIPTION SHIFT: No Weekends

SCHEDULE: Full-time

The Director of Wound Care provides leadership of the Wound Care Management function, clinical services and programs. Ensures the selection, retention, and assignment of competent workforce to ensure effective delivery of departmental services. Demonstrates accountability for clinical practice, services and administrative activities including fiscal, material and human resource management. Maintains and monitors utilization of resources ,physical space, equipment, department protocols, standards, policies, equipment, and practices.

Brandon Regional Hospital is a 422 bed Statutory Teaching Hospital featuring one of the state's busiest ER services with more than 121,302 ER patients treated last year. The hospital is a Top 100 Hospitals - 2019 IBM Watson Health featuring separate adult, pediatric and behavioral health ER programs on its main campus and three offsite freestanding ERs to meet the needs of the many communities it serves.

Specialty programs include a Women's Center with Level III NICU; pediatrics and PICU; Heart and Vascular Center; Behavioral Health; Florida Bariatrics Centers; Neuroscience, Orthopedics and Spine centers. The hospital is an accredited Advanced Primary Stroke Center; Bariatric Center of Excellence (ASMBS) and Center of Excellence for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation; Echocardiography Lab accredited (ICAEL), and has earned several Joint Commission disease specific certifications including AMI, CABG, Heart Failure, Hip, Hip Fracture, Knee, Sepsis and Stroke.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field.

Experience:

At least five years of experience in a healthcare setting. Previous wound care experience.
