Job Description
As a People Analytics Insight Analyst you will apply your expertise in quantitative analysis and storytelling with data to deliver impactful and significant insights to drive business decisions.
This role sits within Human Resources on our collaborative People Analytics Center of Excellence team. As part of this team, you will perform data collection, trending, analytics, reporting and forecasting functions to support Human Resources and enterprise initiatives. Strong candidates will be experienced in data analysis while also possessing an innate curiosity, manifested in being creative, bold and constantly looking for new ways to tweak and optimize.
- Understand Blue Cross NC's current people data landscape and processes, find opportunities to use existing data to deliver insights, identify opportunities to advance our people data capabilities
- Consult with stakeholders and facilitate discussions around analytics opportunities to provide data to enable data-driven decision making
- Conduct sophisticated and in-depth analysis, generate high-quality presentations/data visualizations, and influence and support leaders regarding people data initiatives
- Use various Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Visier or Excel to access, summarize, manipulate and assemble human resource, people, and other stakeholder data
- Develop new reports and report templates to support business needs by utilizing various reporting tools and data mining techniques including using SQL queries
- Identify trends and participate in problem-solving investigation and analyses to for business areas to effectively assist them with decision making on operational or other business issues
- Develop, implement, and maintain consistent processes for data quality controls to ensure data integrity and make recommendations to improve data integrity
- Demonstrate outstanding judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data

Hiring Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of experience with data analysis and preparation including use of statistical methods and experience with very large data sets using SQL, Python, R or other programming language
- If no degree, 5 years of experience as stated above
- Experience in presenting data findings/analysis and making business recommendations to leadership staff

Hiring Preferences
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Economics or related quantitative field
- Experience with Workday, Visier, Tableau or Data Visualization tool
- Experience with Human Resources or People related datasets
