Quality Inspector at FactoryFix in manitowoc, Wisconsin

Job Description:

Wisconsin Steel & Tube Corporation in Manitowoc, WI is looking for a Quality Inspector for a 1st shift opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Support the company quality objectives, policies and mission.


• Performs and records inspections results.


• Audit processes for compliance to system and good work habits.


• Interpret and log data through Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.


• Interprets engineering drawings for inspection processes i.e. inspection plans.


• Assist with quality training on inspection equipment, policies and procedures.


• Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues.


• Support and control non-conforming materials and procedures.


• Assist with ISIR, PPAP, and capability studies.


• Ability to Support ISO 9001:2015 practices and procedures across workforce.


• Organize work and storage areas for efficient workflow and to showcase the quality of work.


• Support inventory accuracy. Reporting non-conforming to supervisors.


• Work with purchasing on mill returns/credits.


• Assists with customer returns on material dispositions.


• Work with Precision Metrology on annual calibrations.


• Review all cut orders and attach prints and inspection sheets.

• High School or GED Diploma


• 1-3 years of experience in a similar position or otherwise related experience


• Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
